Our vision…

To make personalized, evidence-based infant feeding support more accessible to everyone. Whether you are breastfeeding, chest-feeding, exclusively pumping and bottle feeding or weaning, we believe all lactating people should be able to get support with meeting their feeding goals. Wildflower Lactation is evidence-based support, including biologically normal parenting practices that are backed by robust scientific studies.

    • Registered/Licensed Lactation Consultant

    • Certified Postpartum Doula

    • Co-Sleeping/Gentle Sleep Consultant

  • I’m passionate about supporting families through their lactation and postpartum journey. I have over 10 years of lactation consulting experience working with all types of families from all different backgrounds. I support evidence-based parenting practices and enjoy supporting families in finding the best approach that works for them. I’m also a gentle sleep practitioner and can also help families with gentle sleep strategies including co-sleeping support.

I completed my college courses at University of California, Santa Barbara, and was trained through Healthy Children/Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine as a Certified Lactation Counselor in 2011.

From 2011-2016 I worked as a CLC in the community helping families and teaching breastfeeding classes.

In 2016 I became an Accredited La Leche League Leader and over the next 4 years completed 1000 clinical hours working with diverse families in Berkeley, CA and Hood River, Oregon.

In 2016 I also became a Certified Postpartum Doula through Cornerstone and began helping families in their homes heal from birth and learn to care for their new babies.

In 2019 I became an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant and began working in private practice.

In 2020 I opened a non-profit in Hood River, Oregon called Columbia Gorge Postpartum Support with a mission to improve access to postpartum and lactation support in rural areas. With our grants, over the course of 2 years we helped 80 families receive free postpartum doula care and lactation support.

In 2022 I moved to Portland and opened Wildflower Lactation.

I look forward to supporting your family!

  • I have been working in birth, supporting mothers, birthing people, and babies for over 11 years. To me this is so much more than a job, it is a calling, and I have a deep passion and respect for birth and parenting in all its forms. I want nothing more than to support you and provide you with the strategies that you need to reach your infant feeding goals, whatever they may be.

I started my career in Infant Feeding in 2013 as a Breastfeeding Counselor in the UK’s NHS hospitals, where I developed a passion for assisting mothers, birthing people, and babies. I provided face to face support and education to new parents in postpartum wards.

In 2014, I trained as a Registered Midwife, delivering babies at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, and supporting breastfeeding/chestfeeding in the early days and weeks postpartum.

In 2019, I became a Tongue Tie Practitioner Midwife, running Infant feeding clinics across two NHS hospitals and diagnosing and treating 400-500 infants annually for tethered oral tissue. This experience exposed me to increasingly complex feeding issues, motivating me to enhance my breastfeeding support skills.

In 2021, I became the Infant Feeding Specialist Midwife, training patients and healthcare staff in breastfeeding support and contributing to my trust's UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative accreditation. I implemented projects such as skin-to-skin contact during scheduled C-sections to promote breastfeeding, and established a specialist feeding support team to reduce newborn hospital readmissions.

I completed the ‘Breastfeeding London’ Lactation consultant training course, achieving my IBCLC certification in 2022 and began a private practice in England, alongside my NHS work.

  • After returning to the Pacific Northwest in 2023 with my husband and three children, I am thrilled to join the Wildflower team. When kindred spirits link up with aligned philosophies, and a shared drive to support families, great things can happen! I am so excited to bring my global experience back to my home state of Oregon for face-to-face feeding support, just as I did over 11 years ago.
