Insurance/Payment

Insurance can be complicated and often slow to respond. We handle the entire billing process for you, including submitting claims and requesting prior authorizations when needed, so you can stay focused on what matters most: your new baby.

We are in-network with many insurance plans and work diligently to maximize your coverage. Our goal is to have your visits fully—or mostly—covered whenever possible, because we believe you deserve access to this care.

For families with Medicaid, we do not bill you directly. In accordance with the Affordable Care Act, we also do not collect co-pays or co-insurance for lactation services, as these visits are covered without cost sharing. We also accept HSA and FSA cards for any applicable expenses.

We are in-network with many insurance plans, including Medicaid (see the full list below), and we bill insurance directly on your behalf.

If you have an out-of-network plan, we can verify your benefits to determine what may be covered. In many cases, services are still fully covered. We can also submit pre-authorization or in-network exception requests to help maximize your coverage based on your specific plan.

We handle all insurance billing and will send an invoice for any uncovered services within 30 days of your final visit. If your insurance does not cover all or part of your care, we will communicate that clearly so there are no surprises.

Please Note: We charge a travel fee of $50 for home visits that are a long distance away (over 45 min drive, this is not billable to insurance.)

Reimbursement: We can also provide you with a Superbill if you wish so that you may receive reimbursement from your insurance company.
